This work argues for a hybrid and alternative theory of names—Socio- historicalCausal Descriptivism, which consists of six claims, including: The meaning of Nconsists of an open-ended collection of informative descriptions of N’s beareracknowledged by a linguistic community; with respect to practical needs of agentsthere is s weighted order in the collection of descriptions of N’s bearer, etc.

主讲人简介:

陈波,北京大学哲学系教授,著有《分析哲学——批评与建构》、《逻辑哲学研究》、《奎因哲学研究》、《悖论研究》等,在国内外重要期刊发表学术论文两百多篇,其中在国际 A&HCI 刊物发表英文论文 20 多篇。成果单独获得省部级奖励以上 9 次。2018 年当选国际哲学学院 IIP 院士。
